It was a small building in Pacoima hidden behind an iron gate where I found Dan Selover working in his warehouse full of automotive dressing. Dan was a hands-on kind of guy who could build anything. He had made a career building Porsche race cars and had a diner he had built and dressed with memorabilia including a soda fountain that took you back in time to the ’50s. That was in 2000.
By 2002, Dan had the prop house bug, and he started expanding. In 2006, after buying what was formerly Al’s Studio Rentals, Dan relocated his inventory to a 55,000-sq. ft. warehouse in Sun Valley, and the rest is history.
Dan passed away in 2010 while working on his movie ranch, but Air Design continues to grow with his sons, Blake and Bevan, at the helm. If you are in need of items to dress a bakery, airport, auto shop, warehouse, parks, diners, coffee shop, and so much more then you need to stop by to see what they offer.Website: www.airdesigns.net AIR Designs
