Below is a regularly updated list of prop houses we have contacted that are open. Know of someone else? Message us and we will try to keep it up to date!
Stop by Old N Country if you want a little blast from the past. It reminds me of an old little prop house called Billy Woolfe.
I’m not sure how many of you remember, but Billy Woolfe was located on Beachwood Drive in Hollywood. It would soon be purchased by Chuck and Bill to add to their growing collection at Prop Services West (it would then also be labeled The Billy Woolfe Collection).
Don’t bother checking this out on google because I’m older than google.
At any rate, one of the latest prop houses in town reminds me of the atmosphere of the Billy Woolfe prop house. Old N Country is just that, props from a simpler time and place. Their inventory could easily dress a grandmothers house, or just someone living out in Middle America on their little farm.
The collection arrived at the end of 2016 and has continued to grow as they bring more items over from their storage facilities in Philadelphia. If you haven’t visited Old N Country recently, and especially if you haven’t stopped by at all, go and check them out. The cow shaped milk jug is worth it alone.
This coming weekend people are preparing to have Easter dinners with family, others are planning to have quick little Spring Break trips, and then there are some of us who will be working.
If that’s you too, then this handy list of prop houses open on Good Friday is for you:

Need to know who’s open this coming Presidents Day Monday, February 19, 2018?
We’ve called the prop houses so you don’t have to!
We have also been practicing juggling. The juggling hasn’t been going quite as well as the calling. It’s harder than it looks!

If you’re working on a commercial, rumor has it you’ve got yourself a vacation this coming Monday. Sadly that’s not the case for everyone!
That means it’s time to check out who you can call to get what you need. Below is a list of Prop Houses open this coming Martin Luther King Jr Day, January 15th, 2018.

Some people are working this Good Friday, while others won’t be (and are probably going to have a Great Friday).
For those of us who WILL be working, it’s good to have a list of shops open. Some people will be open for half days (leaving after lunch) so we have split up the list into two with partials closing around lunchtime.
For a longer list of prop houses on Debbies Book, you can check it out here:
I hope everyone has a good weekend, whenever that may start!
We don’t like having to work on holidays, especially national ones, but it is completely unavoidable sometimes. That’s why it’s helpful to have a list of stops you can call when everyone seems closed.
Here is a list of many of the prop houses open this coming President’s Day, February 20:
Stay dry out there, and have a good weekend!
Swing by and check out PSW’s new location in North Hollywood.
Once again all under one roof, Prop Services West has relocated to the valley. Their new address is at 7040 Laurel Canyon Blvd. in North Hollywood.
Founded in 1978 by Set Decorator Bill Harp and Art Director Chuck Murawski, PSW has long been a favorite among Set Decorators, Production Designers, Art Directors and Prop Masters.
Chuck Murawski followed his friend Bill Harp to Hollywood in the early 70’s, after Bill joined the crew of the Carol Burnett Show. Recognizing the need for contemporary set dressing in west coast productions they opened Prop Services West on Santa Monica Blvd.
After many moves, purchases, and changes of ownership PSW has settled down into the Valley. Stop by them and see what they have to offer!www.propserviceswest.com Prop Services West
