Celebrate The 4th of July @ King Richards Antique & Vintage Center

MDg4RjVERkFCRkY1NkJDNjU5QTg6MjY3NWFhYmM2YWUzZGYxNTRlZTliNTMwMzExM2M1YjE6Ojo6What is more patriotic than antiques, blues and hot dogs?

On Saturday, July 4th, at 12-3pm in the afternoon King Richard’s Antique & Vintage Center will have “Old Fashioned Food” at their All American Hot Dog Stand.

Of course hot dogs and antiquing just aren’t the same without a little blues so King Richard’s will also be hosting The Smooth Cats; a blues band who’s always ready to entertain.

As always, they are also available for appraising antiques. $4 per item or $10 for three items from 12-4pm.

The Rug Warehouse – A Family Rug Business Woven with History and Love

Tradition is one of the many things that The Rug Warehouse is known for along with made-to-order with customizable designs and imported high end rugs.

Starting over 100 years ago, the Haroonian family refined their business in Iran, known for it’s fine wool rugs. As the family emigrated to the United States, they brought that craftsmanship and love for rugs with them.

thumbnailsGrowing with rug dealers around the country (not to mention across the sea) the business has continued to stay at the forefront of the rug industry, including renting to the entertainment industry. George Haroonian has been at the helm, always kind and happy to chat, bringing stories of recent travels and his family.

The rug business has passed down from generation to generation, always with a business standard that continues that is hard to match. The Rug Warehouse is now led by Gilda, who represents the 4th generation of Haroonians.

Design Mix Furniture – Daybeds, Cool Lanterns & a Great Look

logo-1Daybeds are back and Design Mix Furniture has brought in a sweet collection of traditional daybeds from across the world. The daybed dates back to a time where life was a little bit slower and a little more restful than today’s fast pace.

Of course if you are looking to create a calm place (because we all need one of those) why not add to the room with some of their natural fiber & wicker lanterns? Check out Design Mix’s blog, it’s a great spot for inspiration too.

If you are designing a room the kind of atmosphere for lounging on a daybed, or creating a unique Asian antique inspired aesthetic, you should definitely give Design Mix Furniture a shot. All of this talk about relaxing, I could really use a nap in a cool room with some natural coloring right about now.
